Working With Us

Join our dynamic planting team and embark on an exciting adventure! From November to May, we contract self-employed planters to work on a range of projects all across the UK, especially in South England. We're proud to say the majority of our work is for nature recovery and habitat improvement.

Our crews are made up of 3 to 7 individuals including a foreman. Each crew has a dedicated ATV and trailer for laying out, so no handballing! We do our best to run 3/1 shifts where possible.

For accommodation we hire holiday cottages around the country often in a beautiful setting. Camp costs are just £15 a night. Occasionally same-sex room sharing will be necessary.

We’ve got you covered with the essential PPE and the equipment you'll need. If you own a bag and shovel, feel free to bring them along.

Tree planting in the UK is unique in a lot of ways, one element of that is tree protection. We install various products across our sites but prices given reflect the effort taken.

We’re committed to making your experience safe and enjoyable as you help us create beautiful woodlands and agroforestry sites — let's make a difference together!

“I've worked along the south coast, where I'll be returning this winter, to contribute my efforts in projects aiming to restore the UK's coastal rainforests. It's a wonderfully different feeling, to plant trees that have no due date to be cut down. As a planter coming from Canada, it's nice to know you're in good hands, with professionals, who take your personal well-being, your earning potential and your job satisfaction seriously. The team at DFUK care about the work we do, and the people we work with. I've always had all questions and concerns addressed quickly and transparently, so it's an environment I've grown to be proud to be a part of, and hope to contribute to for years to come!”
